We are organizing our sixth iteration of TechNova, University of Waterloo’s Women+ in Tech Hackathon, and we would love to have you join our team.
This year’s hackathon will take place in January 2027, giving us lots of time to experiment with new ideas and create the best event we can for our hackers! This will be a full year time commitment from March 2026 - February 2027. Our organizers are expected to attend bi-weekly All Hands meetings, and weekly/bi-weekly team-specific meetings. Organizers can expect a weekly time commitment of 5-10 hours, depending on the week and position.
Feel free to apply to multiple positions, but keep in mind that you will only be able to accept one role as an organizer.

NOTE: We are specifically looking for university students in the Waterloo region who identify as women or other underrepresented genders in tech to join our organizing team. You do not need to be a STEM major to be an organizer, we welcome people of all backgrounds!

The Logistics Lead empowers the logistics team to execute a smooth and well-organized hackathon. You are responsible for keeping the team aligned, managing timelines, and ensuring all operational details are handled. Through consistent check-ins and cross-team communication, you help the event run seamlessly.
